HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Grandad's Pumpkin Patch has literally been a dream come true for us. When we started the Patch in 2018, we planted 300 pumpkin plants (that were hand watered), and only had small attractions with few photo opportunities.  Little by little, we've grown to include more than 23 pumpkin varieties; larger, more interactive activities and games; and more accessible accommodations.  This year, we will plant 1200 pumpkin plants (not watered by hand), and we will include some of our biggest attractions yet.  We couldn't be more proud and thankful of our community who has given us such  tremendous support.

If you're from the local area, you might have heard of Caleb's Grandad, Richard Lackaff. Richard was a lifelong Sandhiller, rancher, and above all else, a gentleman. He was never able to see the Pumpkin Patch come to life, but we know that he's somewhere smiling at the fact that Macey finally got 'her' Pumpkin Patch. He's also probably half-scowling that we've dedicated our name to him. We can't wait to share Grandad's Pumpkin Patch with you and your family this fall.

All the best - Caleb, Macey, Leo, Laynee, Berkley, Hank
